Our History
In 1974, United Clearing was established as a Customs Brokers Agent by the late Chandrakant Gordhandas Khakhria and later incorporated as a limited company. Mr. Khakhria played a pioneering role and served as the driving force behind the day-to-day operations of the company, leading it to considerable success. Subsequently, Mohamed Admani joined as an Accountant, assuming responsibility for managing the company’sfinances, administration, and overall operations. In addition, Hitesh Manilal Kara, a highlyexperienced individual with a customs training background, was invited to join thecompany in order to oversee all customs-related matters and other activities. At a later stage, both Mohamed Admani and Hitesh Kara were appointed as Company Directors and were offered the opportunity to purchase shares previously owned by the late Chandrakant Khakhria. In 2018, the Kenya Revenue Authority appointed United Clearing Company Limited as an Authorized Economic Operator, a prestigious recognition reflecting the company’s clean record with the KRA.
In late 2018, Hitesh Kara decided to retire and hand over his directorship to someone capable who would take the company forward. After a series of successful meetings, Hitesh Kara introduced his colleague, Bipin Parmar, a highly qualified graduate. Following meetings with the directors at the late Chandrakant Khakhria’s residence, Bipin Parmar, who possessed extensive experience, was offered shares in the company as well as a
directorship.
By January 2019, the discussions were finalized, and Bipin Parmar took over the leadership role from Hitesh Kara, propelling the company to new heights and further success.The growth of UCCL since 2019 can be attributed to Bipin Parmar’s exceptional
leadership skills, as he introduced a fully dedicated and qualified operations team that excels in communicating and delivering our clients’ shipments with utmost efficiency. Our finance team is unparalleled, and we maintain excellent relationships with all our financial
partners. Furthermore, we have established strong connections with various government organizations, such as KRA, KEBS, PORTHEALTH, KEPHIS, VETERINARY, RADIATION, CAK, KPA, and ACA, ensuring seamless compliance with all statutory bodies and revenue
collection for the Government of Kenya.
